Step into the quiet beauty of the morning and experience the heart of farm life at Light Root Farm & Learning Center. Join our dairy farmer, educator and cow whisperer, Daphne Kingsley for a hands-on, soul-nourishing milking experience in our 100-year-old historic barn, where the rhythm of the cows and the hum of the farm invite you to slow down and connect.
With our small herd of 5–7 gentle milking cows, you’ll have the chance to observe, learn, and take part in the daily rituals that sustain our thriving micro-dairy. Brush the cows, feel the calm of their steady presence, and discover the timeless art of milking.
This intimate, small-group experience (limited to just 1–3 participants) offers a rare glimpse into the care, skill, and devotion behind every drop of milk. Whether you come to learn practical skills, connect with our beautiful bovines, or simply begin your day with the grounding rhythm of the farm, you’ll leave with a full heart and a deeper appreciation for the bond between humans, animals, and the land.
